Farmers' Market Marathon Mea Culpa

Yes we are still here! Wow, it has been a frightful long time since we at the Feed have posted anything on the blog. Let me tell you, it hasn't been from lack of thought, and it CERTAINLY hasn't been from lack of contact with the local foodshed. On the contrary, I am pretty much up to my potatoes with eyes...I mean up to my eyes with potatoes, apples, cabbage, turnips...the works. I have been working steady weekends with Noelle Margerum at Clark Park and the Headhouse and marketing the business via social networking during the week. I also started college again so I am doing that full time. And there is Ethan. So, needless to say, I didn't make it to all of the Farmers' Markets in the city this year. I am sorry to those who helped promote my failed quest but to them I say, there is always next year! I am learning much from my tutelage under Noelle, as well as other farmers, market managers, twitter friends who are in the scene. It has even given me an idea about starting some kind of marketing business for farmers coming to market who just don't have the time to spend social networking. So while you have not heard from us, it doesn't mean we have not been busy. So there you have it. So now the plugs -
